What is SEO?
Look, you can have the best website in the world but if you’re on page #7 what’s the damn point? Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the Digital Marketing technique that gives your website better rankings in search engines. Let’s face it traditional advertising is almost dead. When was the last time you called someone out of the yellow pages or off of a billboard? I can’t even remember the last time I did something like that. It’s a high speed world! We search everything from our cell phone’s. We choose one of the website’s on the first page or a do a whole new search. Now that I have you thinking and realizing how important search engines are these days let me explain SEO.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a technique that manipulates your website to play friendly with search engines. There is link building, blogging, content writing, clean backend coding, title tags, description tags and social media integration that make your site popular for “said” keyword. Google for instance wants to deliver the best results when a user is searching for something. If you search for “San Antonio SEO” and the search engine gives you results for pizza restaurants they will end up like Delta Search. Ever hear of that search engine? Me either! That’s the point! So SEO is basically the process of making your website the most popular website for the targeted keywords. As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content, HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.
