Phil Mercer, native Texan and raised in San Antonio. Possessing or possessed, by an entrepreneurial spirit, has driven him to start Roughneck Graphics. At only 22, Phil made a name for himself in a niche market specializing in advertising. After a meteoric rise and becoming one of the top account executives in the firm, clients ranging to Fortune 500 companies, he was also able to start and operate a profitable vending business with locations ranging from local area apartment complexes to service stations and setting the bar high for most other twenty something’s. Phil was only getting started, in the early part of the decade, Phil was able to attract the attention of an Oil and Natural Gas brokerage house (one of the largest O&G venture firms in the area). With their sponsorship he was able to become a licensed investment broker and enjoyed a half decade of high risk energy investments which kick started his love for oil. Still he could not resist the urge to expand his horizon. Being called upon by old colleagues to help acquire capital as the Director of Sales and Marketing for a web company, Phil was able to learn the ins and outs of internet marketing. Responsible for the company’s biggest year to date, he discovered that you should do what you love, and run it the way you see fit. Phil found a way to combine what he learned in advertising, with the experience he gained as Sales Director and the work ethic needed to start up a successful vending operation.
